You may be tempted to stick to the beach this weekend (it is Memorial Day, after all) and wait for the first-weekend Spoleto madness to die down a bit. But that would be stupid. Because if you don’t get out in the next few days, you will have already missed some good shows. Here are the events that will be gone before you can say Monday.

Spoleto Festival USA-wise, be sure to check out Gallim Dance’s I Can See Myself in Your Pupil, Les Ballets Trockadero de Monte Carlo, Philemon and Baucis, the Norma Winstone Trio, and Nailor “Proveta” Azevedo.

Over in Piccolo-land, some must-see comedy includes Big White Angels, Catnip, Frankenmatt, and the Reckoning.
