Between the stuffy building and the well-dress crowd, the Sale Soirée Thursday night was one hot party. The event was the brainchild of Tara Mills in an effort to support the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Champagne greeted hot guests at the Center for Photography as music from a DJ filled the room. Upscale boutiques like Finicky Filly, K. Morgan, and iHeart had clothing, jewelry, and accessories on display with discounts up to 75 percent off.
It became a creative challenge finding places to try on the clothes; women ducked behind corners and boxes in their quest for a private place to strip down. The most stylish were awarded with “Best Dressed” lanyards, and the ultimate winner took home a tailor-made dress. Glowing neon bracelets were passed around for a reduced entrance fee into the after-party at O-Ku, which featured a steamy preview of Anna Boheme’s new line.
