Last week, Chucktown Music Group — a music company founded by local musician Mark Bryan (of Hootie & The Blowfish) — released a new track titled "My Baby She’s Alright" from Bryan’s side project The Occasional Milkshake. It’s all part of Bryan’s latest venture, Song of the Fortnight, a grassroots internet campaign aiming to showcase local Charleston musicians.
Bryan said in a press release, "I have become increasingly disillusioned with the process of making and releasing albums in an era where listeners are more interested in individual songs. Fortnight felt like the most efficient way to bring the noise."
