Palmetto State alt-rock band Needtobreathe will perform an in studio set at Charleston Sound today (Thurs. Aug. 26) before they load into the Family Circle Cup Stadium this evening for an opening set with Train. It’s another installment of The Bridge at 105.5 Lounge. These midday gigs at the Mt. Pleasant recording facility take place in front of a small audience in the main recording room. Once again, studio owner and engineer Jeff Hodges will be at the mixing board. The Bridge will interview segments and portions of the live performance this week.

Led by singer, guitarist, and main songwriter Bear Rinehart, Needtobreathe recently release a well-polished studio album titled The Outsiders. The band heads out West this week on a lengthy late-summer tour before traveling to the U.K. and Europe for a string of shows in October.

More in-studio lounge gigs are on the way, including a session with member of the Black Crowes. For more info, visit charlestonsound.com and 1055thebridge.com.
