Award-winning country singer/songwriter Alan Jackson kicks off a major U.S. tour this fall that brings him to the Coliseum on Thurs. Nov. 1 at 7 p.m. Special guests on the bill include Chris Young and The Band Perry.

One of the songwriters of the new traditionalist movement of the ’80s and’ 90s, Jackson scored a string of chart-topping hits through the last 25 years, including “Don’t Rock the Jukebox,” “Chattahoochee,” “Where Were You (When the World Stopped Turning),” “Drive (For Daddy Gene).”

Jackson and his band recently released a 12-song studio album titled Freight Train on the Arista Label (Jackson’s 16th collection). Jackson recently appeared on a Zac Brown Band recording titled “As She’s Walking Away.”
