Awendaw Green’s Eddie White recently announced a two-day festival of music and community get-together. Rocktoberfest 2010 will come a little late in the season this year, but things are taking shape nicely.
“The dates look solid for December 4 and 5,” says White. “We are going to have two pro stages side by side with music running from noon until 10 p.m. We also will have a singer/songwriter stage where we do our Barn Jams throughout the year. The music will never stop at all three stages.”
Last year, the music festival ran from Oct. 9-12 at a field behind the Sewee Outpost, Awendaw Green’s next-door neighbor (4853 Hwy. 17). The major goal was to raise money for the Charleston County Band Instrument Fund, set up to help several Charleston-area middle school and high school band programs.
