- Leslie
Several local venues and musicians and colleagues have put their heads together to come up with ways to raise money for Charleston rock trio Leslie this month. While on tour in November, thieves broke into their trailer in Wilmington, Del., stealing guitars, amps, effect pedals, PA, and merchandise.

- Tom Petty and his original Heartbreakers
At the Windjammer on Fri. Dec. 10, a veritable local supergroup playing under the clever moniker Holy City Heartbreakers (featuring members of Leslie, Slow Runner, and others) plan to deliver renditions and reworkings of tunes from Tom Petty’s late ’70s and early ’80s days (Damn the Torpedoes, Hard Promises), through the Traveling Wilburys stuff and his Jeff Lynn-produced hits (Full Moon Fever, Into the Great Wide Open).
Hopefully someone will dedicate “Don’t Do Me Like That” to the thieves. Admission is a $10 donation. Check out the-windjammer.com and myspace.com/leslierock for more.
