Patrons filled the bar area of Social Wednesday night to celebrate the fourth anniversary of the popular restaurant and wine bar. The Mardi Gras theme was evident as decorations adorned not only the walls, but several guests as well. Those who came dressed for the part weren’t shy about donning beads, and one lovely lady took it to the next level with sexy burlesque gear. DJ duo CPO Gents spun thumping beats well into the night, causing a few of the guests to turn the dining area into a makeshift dance floor. Upstairs, a free catering bar was set up with in-house favorites crawfish, wild duck and red potato stew. The festivities were topped off with some promotional giveaways of Jameson Irish Whiskey and Abita’s Purple Haze, and  I wouldn’t be doing the event justice if I didn’t mention the complimentary shots being passed around by the beautiful ladies representing Absolut Wild Tea. The party began to thin after 11:30 as people realized they had to go to work the next morning, but it’s safe to say that Social’s birthday party was a success.
