Weekend Round-Up: Easter and Earth Day are here

We’ve got to start off Good Friday by addressing Easter. There’s so much stuff going on, and most of it on Saturday (which means you have no excuse not to go to church), so hop to it. Ha, I crack myself up.

What might be the coolest event is the Cane Bay Egg Drop in Summerville, when a helicopter will drop a ton of eggs on Cane Bay Plantation. There’s also an egg hunt at Middleton Place, an Easter Festival, at Freshfields Village, the Hat Ladies annual Easter Promenade downtown, the Easter Handmade Bazaar at Hello Deli in North Charleston, the Isle of Palms Easter Egg Hunt, an Easter Sunday Car Show, and the rescheduled Bunnies and Bluegrass Children’s Festival at Irvin-House Vineyards. And restaurants like Blu, S.N.O.B., and Swamp Fox.

But, if you’re like me — a Jew — then all of this bunny and egg stuff might not be super appealing. For you, there’s this:
