Platinum selling group O.A.R. — a well-polished music machine — is heading back to the Charleston area for their annual show on Daniel Island.
The Maryland-based band kicks off a 21-city tour this summer bringing their live show to amphitheaters across the country in support of their forthcoming seventh studio album. “Going out on the road during the summer has been a tradition for us as much as it has been for our audience,” lead singer Marc Roberge says in a recent press release. “With so many new songs and arrangements to choose from, the show will be fresh every night, in every city, which makes it a lot of fun for us. That same feeling of excitement I had our first summer out just comes right back in an instant.”
The tour includes a concert at the Family Circle Magazine Stadium on Sat. July 16. O.A.R. earned big success in 2008 with a smash-hit album titled All Sides, which featured the chart-toppers “This Town” and “Shattered.”
They will be offering a limited number of V.I.P. party packages at select shows, providing the option of premium reserved seats or general admission lawn tickets (subject to venue availability) as well as exclusive perks, including access to a V.I.P.-only party lounge and free live recordings.
