Local nonprofit organization Rein and Shine presents its annual music festival and fundraiser this weekend. Several local rock, funk, and folk bands will assemble on Sat. May 14 from 1-7 p.m. at the big barn at 1276 Guerins Bridge Road in Awendaw.
Rein and Shine is an accredited facility with the North American Riding for the Handicapped Association. The organization has been providing horseback riding as therapy since 2001. This week’s event is designed to aid their mission to “create and sustain an equine therapy facility where people with disabilities of all kinds can learn, grow, and heal.”
Booked by Awendaw Green, the musical roster features Tidal Jive, Jason and the Juggernauts, Old You, members of the Plainfield Project, Jeff Clark, Dori Chitayat, Ryan Bailey and Cumberland Belle, and the Bushels. Food, drink, pony rides, and children’s activities will be on hand.
Admission is $25 for adults and $10 for children 12 and under. Visit reinandshine.org for more.
