Hootie and the Blowfish

Many faithful Hootie and the Blowfish followers were probably bummed when the band took a hiatus as lead singer Darius Rucker recorded his recent country albums. Fortunately for the fans, the band returns to the Family Circle Cup Stadium on Daniel Island for their ninth annual Homegrown Concert on Aug. 12-13.

The two shows will be Hootie’s only public performances of 2011. They’ll play both evenings along with various openers. Toad the Wet Sprocket will share the stage on Fri. Aug. 12, and additional performers will be named in the coming weeks. Advance tickets are on sale for between $27.50 and $75.50.
