- Medeski, Martin, and Wood
It’s been nearly six years since NYC’s accomplished instrumental trio Medeski, Martin, and Wood performed a show in Charleston, but drummer Billy Martin, keyboardist John Medeski, and bassist Chris Wood will return for a concert at the Pour House on Thurs. Feb. 9. A pre-show workshop is in the works for that evening as well.
Since forming in 1991, the trio has dabbled in groove-jazz, funk, fusion, hip-hop, and more experimental subgenres. Their latest release, MSMW Live: In Case the World Changes its Mind (Indirecto), is a live double-album featuring guitarist John Scofield.
