PURE Theater (477 King St.) has a special post-Valentine’s Day event in the works. On Wed. Feb. 15, indie pop singer/songwriter Steve Fiore will present his “Valentine’s Day Hangover” show at 8 p.m.
Fiore recently signed a publishing deal with Universal Music Publishing. He’ll unveil never-before-heard songs from his forthcoming studio album Youth and Magic. No word on the type of booze (or the amount) the singer/guitarist plans to consume the night before.
It’s PURE Theater’s first-ever musical concert presentation. Fiore has regularly performed and recorded in both Boston and Charleston over the last seven years, collaborating with musical colleagues from such local bands as Jump Little Children and Slow Runner, and composing songs for such modern pop artists as Howie Day and Jason Castro.
Advance tickets are available for $15 (general) and $10 (CofC students) at puretheatre.org. Visit myspace.com/stevenfiore and stevenfiore.bandcamp.com for more.
