Freeloaders: The week with free pancakes

MONDAY. The Charleston Music Club will perform at a free recital.

TUESDAY. Free pancakes at IHOP: Need I say more. Then go with your belly full to the Recovery Room, which hosts a DJ battle between Fuzz and Feet. I hope that makes more sense to you than it does to me.

WEDNESDAY. skirt!‘s ReDo Party is free for men; it’s kind of like a reverse ladies’ night.

THURSDAY. Economist Deirdre McCloskey will lecture not on the economy, but on her transition from male to female. And we’ve all had a drink out of a red Solo cup, which will be honored at a party at the Brick.

FRIDAY. For every woman who tries on a Wacoal bra at the Citadel Mall Dillards, the company will donate $2 to breast cancer research. This is a win-win situation for everyone involved. It’s a first Friday, which means an art walk on Gallery Row; one highlight is The Intuitive Eye at Rebekah Jacob Gallery. There are also two other shows that are little fringier: Concurrent, which shows off the work of 11 contemporary artists, and The Liquidation, works by Cyle Suesz presented by the new pop-up Gris Galerie. Meanwhile, food photographer Helene Dujardin’s first photo show hangs at Heirloom Book Company. When the galleries shut their doors, head to JLINSNIDER for one of her First Fridays. The Halsey will screen We Still Live Here, a documentary on the cultural revival by the Wampanoag of southeastern Massachusetts.

SATURDAY. The Lowcountry Artist Market returns to the Music Farm. For a less curated rummage sale, try the Lowcountry Community Yard Sale or the Peace Presbyterian Church Yard Sale. Hey stud: Drive your hot rod into the Above Reality Events Car and Bike Show and catch a free screening of Grease. Erin Eckman’s Moments From the Zone opens at Local in West Ashley.

SUNDAY. The library will show the award-winning documentary Bag It.
