James Island is getting another market, this one an all-local farmers market organized by Meg Moore of Dirthugger Farm on Clark Sound.
The Sunday Brunch Market kicks off this Sunday at Medway Park in Riverland Terrace and promises to be 100 percent local produce and products.
Food and artisanal vendors include Bertolini’s Pasta, EarthMaiden Soap, Dirthugger Farm, Lazy B Quail Farm (eggs), Righteous Ranch Heritage and Pastured Pork, Beef and Chicken, Artisan Tees, AdamChandler Photography, Janetics Jewelry, and Yummy Coffee.
Happy Camper Snoballs, Diggity Donuts, and Roti Rolls will also be there selling their wares.
Moore says they hope to expand with more products, like milk from Celeste Albers at Green Grocer and perhaps shellfish from ClammerDave and seafood from Abundant Seafood.
They will also have weekly classes. The first one will be held by Jen Stringer-Obi of In Living Colors, who will instruct you on how to make a hanging basket. Class begins at noon.
Medway Park is located at 2101 Medway Road in the Riverland Terrace neighborhood off Maybank Highway.
