The Charleston Greek Festival is a local tradition that has been going on for decades (the City Paper has its own tradition of a Friday field trip for gyros and sweets). The fest comes back in full swing May 11-13 at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church.
The Charleston Greek Festival is a celebration of culture, entertainment, life, food, and more. This year’s festival includes a little something for everyone. There will be delicious food (gyros, kebobs, mousaka, baklava and more), Greek wine tastings and other beverages, Greek music (two live bands), folk dance performances, cultural exhibits, shops, and church tours.
Extra parking is located at 360 Fishburne St. and there will be a continuous shuttle to the festival. The entrance fee is $3 a person, $1 for senior citizens and college students, children under 12 get in free, and mothers get in free on Sunday for Mother’s Day.
