Brevard, N.C.-based folk songwriter and banjo player Shannon Whitworth is heading back to Charleston for an elegant concert at the historic Dock Street Theatre (135 Church St.).
Whitworth is a founding member of the acoustic quartet the Biscuit Burners. She formed a new group in 2006. Their 2007 debut No Expectations and their follow-up album Water Bound established her as one of the stars of the Carolina folk/bluegrass scene.
