If you’re venturing out late on King Street you may be glazed and confused, because Glazed Gourmet Doughnuts will be open. Normally the doughnut shop is only open Tues.-Sun. until 3 p.m., but this Friday it will reopen at 10 p.m. until 2 a.m.
Glazed owner and Chef Allison Smith says, “We have been talking about opening late night on the weekends for a while. We are excited because people have been asking for this since we opened.”
Although Friday’s menu will be pretty basic it will include favorites like the traditional glazed and The Monte Cristo, ham and melted cheese topped with strawberry jam in between a glazed doughnut.
Smith adds, “If turnout is high this Friday late night hours will become a regular occurrence.”
Although late-night pizza, hamburgers, and hotdogs cure the munchies, Glazed doughnuts will give night owls a sweeter option when staggering home from the bars. Just be careful you don’t drop your doughnut.
