We would never say the Daily Dose is closed, because as long as “Mama” Duffy Ingle has breath, the Dose will live on.
Duffy opened her first Daily Dose 13 years ago in an old gas station on Cannon Street (or was it Spring?) where she served up the original Cowgirl and accumulated a legion of loyal fans (including CP’s editorial staff). She closed that up and resurfaced years later in a funky little spot on James Island. From there, she moved to Johns Island where she’s been serving up her signature good mood food for the last year or so.
Now a note on Facebook tell us that she’s closed up shop due to “strict shopping center rules and drama,” and Mama D is yet again looking for a new home.
We wish Duffy the best of luck in finding that next spot and hope she goes back to James Island where healthy fare is hard to find.
