With the recent passing of the new film incentive bill, Army Wives actor Terry Serpico says the need for local actors is increasing. To make sure Charleston is able to meet that demand, he’ll soon be offering an actor’s audition class.
The class will be a three-part series held at Cinebarre in Mt. Pleasant. The series will include a casting directors symposium in August, as well as an extra/background actor workshop. Serpico’s hope is that the classes will help give local actors the tools they need to land roles in television shows and movies filming in the Lowcountry.
At the moment, classes are only open to actors who already have agents. However, Serpico and his partner Tuesday Beebe are hoping to offer some beginners-level classes as well.
Dates will be announced soon. Aspiring actors can e-mail Tuesday to find out more at tuesdaypasc@gmail.com.
