Grammy-nominated southern folky-rock group Alabama Shakes will make a September 19 stop at the North Charleston Performing Arts Center, the venue announced today.

The Athens, Alabama-based group, led by the bluesy pipes of lead singer and guitarist Brittany Howard, will be joined by the Dexateens and Majestico for the 8 p.m. show.

Reserved tickets go on sale June 28 through TicketMaster.

The Shakes are best known for songs like “Hold On” and “I Found You,” but Howard’s duet of The Band’s “It Makes No Difference” with My Morning Jacket frontman Jim James is also worth a listen. Howard also made an appearance with James at this year’s Bonnaroo Music Festival.
