The annual ticket launch party for the Charleston Wine + Food Fest has a new venue, and we think you’re gonna like it. The Mixson Bath & Racquet Club is a spacious private club in North Charleston that opened over the summer. In contrast to the beachy resort setting at the Charleston Harbor Resort at Patriots Point where the party has been held the last several years, the stylish club in North Charleston is a bit more edgy, located in an up-and-coming area in the Mixson development.
The party will take place poolside, with plenty of time for bocce and badminton. But the big draw, per usual, will be the food and beverages from local chefs and purveyors. Designed to give attendees a taste of the 2014 festival, the launch party has tapped big guns like Jeremiah Bacon, Frank McMahon, Kevin Johnson, Jimmy Hagood, and Joe Raya to feed and water the masses.
And by masses, we mean the clutch of people smart enough to get their tickets soon. The party happens on Wed. Sept. 18 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. and costs $40. Buy them here.
