What happens when you combine powerful, dynamic vocals, folky pop, and rootsy Americana? A local show that’ll have Chas talking and toes tapping when Tyler Mechem, the Tarlatans, and the Bushels share a bill Fri. Nov. 1 at Pour House.

The show will also be the first performance by Tyler Mechem and the Flood, the new band from the one-time Crowfield frontman. Since the much-beloved Crowfield split in the spring, Mechem has been working on a solo album and is eager to get back in the studio. “I’ll be playing more local and regional shows and doing more recording than touring,” Mechem says. He also says the he’ll play some new songs at the Pour House show.

Mechem is excited about the Nov. 1 lineup. “The Bushels have one of my favorite local albums of the year. I heard the Tarlatans play, and I really like them, too,” he says.

Tickets are $8 in advance and $10 at the door. For more info, visit charlestonpourhouse.com.
