Parents, have a wildly creative kid? Now is you’re chance to put them under the spotlight. Monday, April 7 is the deadline to apply to be a Piccolo Spoleto Rising Stars. The program gives artistically gifted South Carolina kids, ages nine to 18, a performance venue to showcase their talents be they classical dance, creative writing, classical music for ensembles and soloists, theatre, or the visual arts inclined. Those selected will have a chance to perform during Piccolo Spoleto Festival, May 23 to June 8 and visual arts winner will have their work displayed in galleries around Charleston. Acceptance letters will be sent out April 21.
