Boeing has released a crazy video of a demo flight of the new 787-9 Dreamliner ahead of the Farnborough Airshow in the UK ahead of the first “Dash 9” assembly in North Charleston this fall. [P&C, The Verge]
Boeing also received approval for a redevelopment plan for more than 460 acres near its North Charleston facility, including 4,000 acres in the region that it will preserve as part of a mitigation plan in place in exchange for filling in 153 acres of wetlands in North Charleston. [CRBJ, P&C]
The P&C reports that House Speaker Bobby Harrell has paid the attorneys representing him as part of the hearings associated with his ethics investigation with $80,000 from his campaign account. Former NYC Mayor Michael Bloomberg has passed $250,000 to a Lindsey Graham-friendly super PAC, the West Main Street Values PAC, according to Politico. [Politico]
Thomas Ravenel, who filed as a petition candidate for U.S. Senate against Graham yesterday says he doesn’t think being a felon should disqualify someone for running for Congress. A SCGOP spokesperson said that Ravenel, who served as the state’s Republican state treasurer, “can’t even vote for himself.
