Mark you calendars and set your alarms, Charleston, for Sept. 8 at 11:35 p.m. That’s the time Stephen Colbert will take up residence behind the desk of CBS’s late show.

Colbert is replacing long-time host David Letterman, who will step down from The Late Show with David Letterman May 20. There are no other details about Colbert’s reign, but he will not be bringing his conservative talk show host persona from his Comedy Central show The Colbert Report with him.

The New York Times reported that Colbert had this to say about his new role: “I have nine months to make a show, just like a baby. So first, I should find out how you make a baby.”
