These days it seems like everybody has a new business idea that’ll make it big. In fact, there’s even a reality show about it. Cue ABC’s Shark Tank, which has aspiring entrepreneurs pitch their ideas to four sharks, or investors.  And Fri. Feb. 6 a College of Charleston alum will have his turn.

Kevin Waltermire, who graduated from CofC in 2003 with a degree in history and attended the one-year global MBA program in 2011, will try to get The BevBoy backed by investors on the ABC reality show. The BevBoy is essentially a weighted, floating cup holder koozie, so you can lounge in the pool without having to keep your hands on your drink.

Tune in at 9 p.m. on ABC to see if the sharks believe in Waltermire’s business plan, invention, and himself enough to put money behind the product.
