Our resident Park Circle staffers gave us the good news this morning — Veggie Bin II is now open at 1012 East Montague Ave. While our earlier reports had stated that Veggie Bin owner Michael Bailey would be opening a second location on Calhoun Street (his first is at 96 Spring St.), on a recent visit he told us he passed on that spot when the North Charleston opportunity came up — can’t beet that logic.

The Park Circle store offers its namesake produce in addition to Bertolini’s pastas, nuts, and pickled okra from a brand called Kenchi, which we’re told is named after its manufacturer, Ken.

Veggie Bin II will be open Mon.- Thurs., 8 a.m.-7 p.m.; Fri. and Sat., 8 a.m.-6 p.m.; and Sun., 10 a.m.-4 p.m.
