Which is to say, yep, the deal is done. Bill Hall, owner of Hall Management Group (Halls Chophouse and Rita’s Seaside Grille), has purchased president and founder Dick Elliott’s Maverick Southern Kitchens restaurant portfolio — Slightly North of Broad, High Cotton of Charleston, High Cotton of Greenville, and Old Village Post House. Charleston Cooks! will remain under the Maverick umbrella. 

Following our initial report that Elliott was considering buyers — a report in which the restaurateur compared a possible deal to selling his beloved pet … for the right price — a release came out Wednesday afternoon announcing the sale. According to the letter, Hall Management Group will honor all remaining Maverick Collection program rewards at S.N.O.B., both High Cotton’s, and Old Village Post House through 2015.

Elliott, Hall, and S.N.O.B. Chef Frank Lee have not returned calls for comment regarding how the new ownership will impact employees.
