Find some jewels for your final Spoleto looks at Corneau Goldsmithing Jewelry Gallery this weekend. Micky Roof’s trunk show will be on display from 10 a.m.- 6 p.m. today and tomorrow, and from 12-6 p.m. on Sun. Head out to a free wine reception from 3-7 p.m. tonight, where Roof will be on hand to discuss her art.

Based in New York, Roof says that her designs celebrate nature and the sea. A CG Gallery press release describes Roof’s artistic process in greater detail. “I am inspired by the nature around me and Charleston’s many waterways have helped me create a contemporary collection with high-end gemstones,” says Roof.

CG Gallery owner Michael Corneau says that the gallery is excited to display Roof’s work, especially since some of her pieces were designed specifically for Charleston. “She has some opals that are absolutely beautiful. They look like the landscape of the ocean,” says Corneau.

The CG Gallery hosts trunk shows often, and Corneau believes that, with Spoleto drawing to a close, this is the perfect weekend for locals and tourists to check out jewelry inspired by the city. He says that pieces in the gallery range from $500-$10,000, and that the price point reflects the quality of both the handcrafted designs and rare and exotic gem stones often used in each piece.
