Have you seen the episode of No Reservations where Tony’s in Spain with Chef Jose Andres eating pigs’ feet, swilling wine from a glass pitcher, and basically having a kick-ass boozy time in a vineyard? Well all that can be yours (minus the pigs feet and vineyard). City Paper, in collaboration with Advantage Distributing and Holy City Hospitality, is hosting Txak Blok Party.

Txak, short for txakoli (pronounced chock-oh-LEE-nah), is a Basque white wine and that little pitcher contraption Bourdain is slurping from is called a porron. In Spain, it’s tradition to pour the wine into your mouth from the porron and that’s exactly what we’ll be doing on August 30 at the patio at Coast restaurant. Even better, the party just so happens to fall on the release week of our next issue of Dish, so you can bet we’ll be wanting a drink or two. Plus, Coast Bar & Grill will be on hand providing tapas.

Tickets to the Txak Blok Party are $30 and can be purchased here. The sipping begins at 6 p.m. See you there.
