If the heat, the lines, or the inevitable sold-out sign has kept you from enjoying John Lewis’ Lewis Barbecue pop-up at Revelry Brewing this summer, take note: you have exactly two Saturdays left to get your mouth around his brisket and hot guts. Yeah, we know that doesn’t read right, but, hell, it’s true. Sat. Sept. 5 will be the last day in the summer barbecue series and Lewis is going out with a bang.

Lewis has invited his pitmaster pal Wyatt Dickson of soon-to-open Picnic in North Durham, N.C. to prepare his whole hog. As for the Revelry fellas, they’ll be offering their Gullah Cream Ale made with Geechie Boy Grits. And Sept. 5 will be the last chance to sip on Revelry and Lewis’s collaboration beer, Lean or Fat. Plus, there will be bands playing the whole day through.

And if you don’t make it, just remember Lewis’ restaurant Lewis Barbecue restaurant is supposed to open later this year.
