As part of their monthly breakfast lecture series Creative Mornings Charleston will host Bret Lott, a CofC professor and author of 14 books including his most recent work, a nonfiction collection, Letters and Life: On Being a Writer, On Being a Christian. Sign up for the free talk here.

Lott, who returned to teaching at CofC in 2007 after a three-year hiatus, is a prolific writer whose work has appeared in The Yale Review, The New York Times, and in many anthologies. Most notably, perhaps, is his novel Jewel, which was selected as an Oprah Book club pick. Come on, that’s pretty cool.
