Last night we received the unfortunate news that tomorrow’s Hogs for the Cause event featuring Dr. Dog, Nikki Lane, Fly Golden Eagle, Lucero, and the People’s Blues of Richmond had to be canceled due to Charleston’s incessant rain and flooding.

The press release says, “As the bad weather approaches, we regret that we have made the difficult decision to cancel Hogs for the Cause Charleston, which was set for this Saturday, October 3rd at Patriot’s Point. As difficult as this decision is, when considering current and future predicted weather putting this event on has become an impossibility. We are very disappointed that this year’s event will not take place, but we must take all precautions for the safety of our attendees, competitors, vendors and musicians.”

Did you buy a ticket? “Hogs for the Cause is a 501c(3) organization providing aid and relief of those variable expenses and economic burdens which families face while their child is being treated for pediatric brain cancer. Please feel free to consider your pre-sale ticket price a donation to the Cause or we are happy to offer a refund for pre-sale tickets (refund process being developed). We appreciate how the City of Charleston has embraced us and we look forward to future events here.”
