Since his debut during Ohm Radio’s launch in July, indie rocker Pierce Alexander has been hard at work on his new music video for “Waiting for the Show.”

It all started when Pierce sent his single off to animator Luke Alexander (no relation). “The video is all Luke,” Pierce said, “He took my song and brought it to life in a way only he could. At its core, the song is about endings with hope for a new beginning. It’s also about how people can let you down and then sometimes you have to be the one to build yourself back up. In my mind, there’s strength in that.”

The nightmarish quality and often two-dimensional style of the video’s animation may seem at first to contrast the song’s rainy day, melancholy sound, but both are brought into thought-provoking harmony as the video progresses.
