[image-1]It’s never too early to celebrate the artistic work of an individual.
Just as Mozart showed that talents can bloom early in life, so too has the South Carolina Alliance for Arts Education offered up an opportunity for young artists to perform as a part of the Rising Stars Piccolo Spoleto 2016 series. Now in its eighth year, young artists have the chance to showcase their talents in high-profile performance venues. Organizers are looking for students who are visual artists, actors, classical dancers, creative writers, classical solo musician, and classical musical ensembles with no more than 12 members.
The deadline for applications is March 11. The shows will feature five to seven young performers during each of the six Rising Stars programs presented on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays during the upcoming Spoleto and Piccolo Spoleto Festival, taking place from May 27 to June 4.
Registration is $30 per applicant and can be submitted to app.getacceptd.com/scaae. Student applicants must be between the ages of 9 and 18. Full-time college students are prohibited.
