It’s hard to believe Short Grain food truck is almost one-year-old. It feels like just yesterday we were eating our first O.G. Bowl. Now to celebrate the success of the untraditional Japanese mobile restaurant, owners Corrie and Shuai Wang are throwing a party that promises everything you could possibly want — lightsticks, shandies, and handies (that’s short for hand rolls you naughty reader, you).

“And we’re going to have a nacho bar from 10 p.m. on,” says Corrie. GrowFood Carolina will host the dance party, and Corrie adds, “We’re working on the playlist now.”

The fun begins at 8 p.m. on Sat. July 2. Tickets are $45 and a portion of proceeds will go to GrowFood. Each ticket gets you six shandies, courtesy of Cannonborough Beverage Co. and Frothy Beard, throughout the night and unlimited hand rolls until 10 p.m.
