[image-1] City Paper columnist Alison Piepmeier continues to garner national attention for her touching farewell column, “Thank you for my beautiful life.” On Mon. July 25, Us Weekly shared the story on their site and spoke with Brian McGee, Piepmeier’s husband, about her deteriorating condition.
“Alison is having more trouble communicating this week,” he says. “All of this is sad and troubling, but expected. Still, Alison can have messages read to her, and she is able to continue with some correspondence.”
McGee went on to convey his gratitude for those who have reached out to Piepmeier and her family to voice their encouragement and admiration for her.
“Alison and I, and all the members of our family, are deeply appreciative of the messages of love and support she has received from the across the nation,” McGee told Us Weekly.
