Given its warm-weather pop vibe, The Wave is the perfect title for Nashville-based Los Colognes’ third album, out Fri. May 12. With its mellow, spirited tracks, the record is a cool dip in the pool, a kite in the summer sky, a hazy day at the beach.

Los Colognes dons a psychedelic hat on this record, pivoting away from the Tulsa sound of their two previous albums. And subtle Grateful Dead and classic-rock influences are detectable throughout, below an ’80’s new wave flare.
Los Colognes will open for Alabama-based soul group, St. Paul & the Broken Bones, at the Charleston Music Hall on Thurs. March 16 and Fri. March 17.
