The Commodore and the Most Races Show on Earth team up for a four month stand-up comedy series, aptly titled, the Commodore Comedy Series. MRSOE, in case you didn’t know, places special emphasis on featuring comedians of all racial, ethnic, religious, and sexual orientations.
The first show of the series will be held on Thurs. Sept. 21 at 8:30 p.m. featuring Jess Salomon and Eman El-Husseini and hosted by Neil Bansil. Tickets are $10 and can be purchased online.
Salomon and El-Husseini’s show, fittingly, takes place during Charleston Pride week. The Jewish-Canadian and Palestinian-Muslim couple are, as the show’s description puts it, “the ultimate minority” with the aim “to just be funny and avoid being deported.” We’re laughing already.
