[embed-1]For the last few days, Charleston designer Jay Fletcher has been posting illustrations of classic sneaker designs on Instagram. As a graphic artist, it’s normal for Fletcher to post sets of designs, but these are a little different.

In recent months, iPhone maker Apple has been rolling out an all-new design for the App Store app in its latest mobile operating system revision, iOS 11. Gone is the familiar iTunes layout of app icon grids in favor of a more feed-based layout that favors Apple’s new curated collections of apps for iPhone and iPad. don’t have iOS 11 yet? As part of that design rethink, Fletcher says he was pulled in to help build out a few of those collections. In this case, the shoes were drawn up for a set of apps that help sneakerheads track and look ahead to when their favorite brand is about to drop some new kicks. [App Store link]

Fletcher says he has a couple other projects in the works with the California fruit company and promises more info on them as they’re released.

Of the ones Fletcher posted, I’m pretty partial to the classic Nikes, Adidas Sambas, and the the Air Force Ones. View the whole set over on IG. What do y’all think?
