[image-1] Elections to fill City Council seats, the Commissioner of Public Works position, and to decide whether or not the city can borrow $20 million from taxpayers for an affordable housing bond are happening today.

Head here for a look at who the City Paper endorsed for the four contested races in the Charleston, James Island, and West Ashley Districts 2, 6, 10 and 12. We also wrote about why the affordable housing bond is a good idea. (Keep in mind that no new taxes would be levied for it, according to the city.)

Mt. Pleasant residents also head to the polls today to vote for mayor and four Town Council seats.

A list of polling places is available on the Charleston County website, or you can check out scvotes.gov and put in your address to find your polling place.

We will post updates and results as they become available.
