Charleston-based illustrator and graphic designer Tami Boyce creates what she describes as “doodles with humor and heart.” Her work can be found at local spots around town including Frothy Beard Brewery, Theatre 99, and Early Bird Diner, and she often pops up at local farmers and holiday markets.
Several years ago Boyce created a series of animal illustrations — 50 to be exact — with the goal of supporting her theory that everything looks smarter and slightly more pretentious with a monocle.
You can buy the individual prints, which are overlaid on their corresponding dictionary pages, online. And, if you want all those the cute critters in one place? Then you should help Boyce fund her proposed book, Put a Monocle on It, which will feature the entire collection, with bios for each character.
