Matt Ward, new executive chef at Rutledge Cab Co., brings years of experience to the kitchen.
Most recently, Ward was the chef de cuisine at the Culinary Vegetable Institute at the Chef’s Garden in Milan, OH. A College of Charleston alum, Ward has worked locally at Fish as the sous chef under French master chef Nico Romo. He’s also worked alongside James Beard nominated Chef Bradford Heap at Colterra in Niwot, CO.
Owned by Bill Murray, Brad Creger, and Mike Veeck, Rutledge Cab is located in an old convenience store/gas station and serves up breakfast all day; a variety of salads and sandwiches; and entrees like a fried chicken platter and vegan Thai green curry, and beef, chicken, and shrimp skewers.
Creger says of the new acquisition, “We are very pleased to have Matt with us.”
