After former state Rep. Bakari Sellers, currently an attorney who also appears on CNN, tweeted over the weekend “I’m running soon,” the former state legislator who also ran for lieutenant governor told the P&C that he hopes to become the congressman in the 6th District “at some point in the 21st century.” Sellers took issue with a statement last week by current 6th District Rep. Jim Clyburn, who defended fellow Rep. John Conyers, saying that sexual harassment allegations against the Michigan Democrat “could be made up.” Democratic Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi also took flak yesterday on Meet the Press when she declined to criticize Conyers.
