Moms traveling through Charleston will now be able to comfortably, and privately, keep their babies alive through the holiday travel season.
Airport leaders will officially introduce two breastfeeding and pumping stations at a ribbon-cutting ceremony Thursday morning.
The blue, semi-round pods are equipped with benches, a fold-down table, an electrical outlet, and a door with a lock. Nursing moms will even be able to fit other small children inside the four-by-eight foot station.

We continue to work on providing travelers with the services and amenities they need to ensure a great travel experience.”
One station will be located before security in the baggage claim area of the airport, while another one will be placed near the restrooms on Concourse B, which is used by most of the airlines serving the airport (JetBlue, American Airlines, United Airlines, Southwest Airlines). International arrivals also come in through Concourse B.
