The 13th annual Chanukah in the Square celebrates the holiday with the help of local organizations like the Yaschik/Arnold Jewish Studies program, Chabad of Charleston โ€” Center for Jewish Life, and the City of Charleston Office of Cultural Affairs. The family-friendly event is the largest annual Jewish event in South Carolina, and for good reason. On Sun. Dec. 17 head to Marion Square from 4-6 p.m. for the free festivities.

Local Holocaust survivors will light menorah candles and attendees can enjoy food โ€” like hot latkes and donuts โ€” while listening live music. Other activities include a make-your-own menorah and a bounce castle.
