S.C. is doubling its funds for fighting the opioid crisis after receiving $20.5 million from the U.S. Department of Health. According to a spokesman for the S.C. Department of Alcohol and Other Drug Abuse Services, who is receiving $14.2 million, the state agency will use the money to increase access to medication and treatment, an ad campaign, and financial assistance for those who are seeking treatment.
