Charleston Health Alliance of Regional Musicians (CHARM) will assist local artists in pre-qualifying for health insurance during a This is Noteworthy event at the Royal American on Mon. Nov. 12, 4-7 p.m.

CHARM is a local organization that not only helps working musicians qualify for health insurance but also helps to raise funds to pay their premiums.

SUSTO’s Justin Osborne will be on hand at the event to discuss how CHARM and health insurance has helped him over the past few years.

In order to qualify for help from CHARM, you must (1) have a Social Security number and a birthdate you’re willing to share (2) reside within 60 miles of Charleston, (3) be willing to claim that you will make at least $12,141 in taxable income in 2019, and (4) play 45 dates a year.

If you are not a musician but are in the music industry, you can still receive assistance from CHARM — just email cheers@connections.media for details.
